Mental Health eChat sessions use a combination of pre-session therapeutic writing, secure file transfer, recorded response and secure messaging as the mode of therapeutic communication between client and therapist. Your written reflections, my responses to you and our chat conversations are exchanged securely using Doxy.me a PIPEDA compliant telemedicine platform. You can choose a mini session (messaging only) or a longer session that includes pre-session exploratory writing. Therapeutic writing can help you take time to explore your thoughts and feelings in your own time and in the comfort of your own chosen space. The act of writing your thoughts out can lead to greater self-awareness, deep insights and help you process your emotions. Submitting your writing to a counsellor adds a therapeutic benefit of mental health help, relational support, guidance and extra resources depending on your current struggles. For new clients eChat sessions begin with an Intake assessment to understand your goals and to ensure your suitability for eChat.

Carly uses a client centred, relational approach that integrates trauma-informed psychodynamic and sensorimotor psychotherapies. Other approaches include Mindfulness-based stress reduction, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Spiritual resourcing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Appointments are 55 minutes duration.

Compassionate, research-informed Marriage and Family Therapy for relationship stress, grief and emotional pain, relationship-rupture recovery, intimacy building, pre-marital counselling and Couples Dialogue. Carly uses a client-centred, relational approach that integrates Couples Dialogue, Emotionally-Focused couples therapy and Attachment-based Developmental therapy. Carly's training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy facilitates ability to connect emotionally with your partner during times of stress through somatic resourcing. Appointments are 55 or 85 minutes duration.
